I am delighted to welcome you to the latest edition of the newsletter for the Department of Sociology at the University of North Dakota! I am simply thrilled to share with you the many contributions of our students, alumni, and faculty members at UND and beyond!

We hope you enjoy reading about Sociology undergraduate student Katherine Blackmun and Sociology alumna Jamie Holgrem. Also covering recent Alpha Kappa Delta activities, under the leadership of Dr. Joe Jochman, there’s lots to catch up on in UND Sociology.

We are excited to welcome a new faculty member to the department—Dr. Katherine Furl. Dr. Furl earned her Ph.D. in Sociology at the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill and studies digital inequalities.
