Staffing Changes in UND Procurement & Payment Services

Odella Fuqua, Interim Associate Vice President for Finance, and Tom Scrivener, Chief Procurement Officer, are pleased to announce the following staffing changes in Procurement & Payment Services (PPS).

Sammy Bales has been named Procurement Services Manager.  Most recently, Sammy held the position of Senior Procurement Officer handling procurement for UND’s Planning, Design and Construction (PDC) area.  As manager, she will directly supervise UND’s procurement officer team, develop sourcing strategies, lead negotiations and provide guidance on sourcing and procurement processes to the campus community and suppliers.   Sammy will transition to her new management role on April 3rd, while maintaining procurement duties in the PDC until her replacement is hired in the near future.

Natalie Talk has been named Procurement Systems Administrator. Natalie transitioned from her former role as Procurement Officer in February. As Procurement Systems Administrator, Natalie is responsible for UND Marketplace workflows and processes, continuous improvements to existing forms, and leading new vendor enablement efforts (tiles).

Laura Nelson, Interim Payment Services Manager, will join the Associate Vice President for Finance (AVPF) office on June 1 as Senior Business Analyst & Special Projects Manager.    In her new role, Laura will work with high level projects and process improvements for the Associate VP for Finance unit.  Laura will also assist the AVPF unit with critical tasks during staff vacancies.  PPS is actively recruiting a Payment Services Manager to fill Laura’s current interim position.
