MS2: Information from Dr. Porter

From Dr. Porter: I would like to welcome the Class of 2023 back from your summer break. I hope you took some time for yourselves, as your medical education will start ramping up from here until graduation. Along those lines, I’m sure you were happy to complete the lottery at the end of Block VIII and find out what campus you are assigned to during your third and fourth years at school. More than likely it will be less stressful now that you know your campus assignments! But I have a more devious strategy in mind for choosing your campus site early involving career advising. If you haven’t already started, I want you to consider the question: “What do I want to be when I grow up?” Why? Because the person now responsible for helping you explore that question is your third-year Campus Dean. I will speak more to the essential interactions you will have with your Career Advisor during our first meeting together in early August.
