Minnesota chapter of SHM sponsoring POCUS workshop in Minneapolis Oct. 12-13

The Minnesota chapter of the Society for Hospital Medicine (SHM) invites you to join a hands-on point-of-care ultrasound (POCUS) workshop, to be held at the HealthPartners Conference Center (8170 33rd Ave. S., Bloomington, Minn., 55425) on October 12-13, 2024.

This two-day course offers skill-building, teaching, applications, and techniques all related to POCUS. This course offers focused didactics and hands-on scanning sessions led by nationally recognized expert faculty. During the scanning sessions, participants will practice capturing ultrasound views of the heart, lungs, abdomen, and legs on live models. Participation in this course will count toward the Certificate of Completion Program for SHM.

Scholarship opportunity: The Dr. Dan Schnobrich Point-of-Care Ultrasound Scholarship is a memorial fund commemorating an outstanding physician and point-of-care ultrasound champion in our community. The SHM Minnesota Chapter will provide $1,000 scholarships to residents and students with a commitment to pursue hospital medicine in their careers. The $1,000 scholarship will go towards registration to attend the upcoming Minnesota Chapter Regional Point-of-Care Ultrasound Course.
