Sue Murray, former bookstore supervisor, died Dec. 8 at Methodist Hospital, St. Louis Park, Minn.  She was 86.

Mary Susan Bushaw was born on Oct. 5, 1925, the daughter of John and Lillian (Driscoll) Bushaw in Grand Forks. She was raised and educated in Grand Forks, graduating from Grand Forks Central High School. Sue married William J. Murray on Aug. 23, 1952, at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, Grand Forks. She worked for Agsco Inc. until starting her family. Later, she worked for the UND as a supervisor at the Bookstore for 15 years. William preceded her in death on May 4, 2000.

Sue was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who loved life and family traditions. She enjoyed hosting and entertaining her family at her Maple Lake cabin, especially on the 4th of July. Sue was a competitive card player and loved to win a good game of garbage. Her 80th birthday was celebrated with her dream vacation to Ireland with family. “Grandma Sue,” as her grandchildren called her, was the biggest supporter and fan of all their activities. She spent many hours in gyms and ice arenas.

She is survived by her son, Jerry (Karen),Chanhassen, Minn.; daughters, Michelle Murray, Livermore, Calif. and Maureen (Robb) Leer, Edina, Minn.; her grandchildren: Shawn, Nathan, and Christopher Murray; Robbie, Matt, and Nick Leer; Katie (Ross) Lund and Billy Murray; her sister, Janet King, El Camino Village, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William; son, Patrick and her brother, Robert.
