Susan Carol (Green) Stoa, retired UND Bookstore staff member, passed away on Sept. 28, 2021, at the home of her two sons in Maricopa, Arizona, following a four year battle with ovarian cancer.

Susan Carol (Green) Stoa, age 67, was born on December 17, 1953 to J. Carleton and Pauline (Trezona) Green in Cooperstown, NY. She lived with her parents in New York, Iowa, and North Dakota. She graduated from Larimore High School in 1972 and went on to graduate from the University of North Dakota.

She married Richard Goetz in 1973 and together, they had two sons. They later divorced. She married Rodney Stoa in 1988, and they later divorced.

She lived in Grand Forks for much of her adult life. She worked at Dayton’s/Macy’s and later at the University of North Dakota bookstore, retiring in 2019. For all who knew her, she will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her sons Chad and Craig Goetz, her grandson Casey Orlowski, her sister Janet (Bill) Jones, and her cousin Skip (Marlene) Green. She was preceded in death by her parents. A celebration of life service in Grand Forks is planned for the spring of 2022.
