Remembering Kevin Fee
It is with sadness that we announce the death of Kevin Fee, retired award-winning sportswriter and part-time UND Athletics employee, who died Friday, Feb. 6, in Grand Forks.
Kevin, who grew up in Grand Forks and attended UND, wrote for the Grand Forks Herald covering sports for much of his career. His work earned multiple awards, including the North Dakota High School Coaches Association Award of Merit.
After leaving the Herald, Kevin worked in communications at Minnkota Power until his retirement.
Kevin joined UND Athletics in 2020 and wrote in several capacities for the University’s Ray Richards Golf Course, playing a “vital role” as the course reopened that year, said Kyle Myers, athletics operations director and general manager for Ray Richards Golf Course.
In his role at the course, Kevin was a pro shop attendant and content creator, writing press releases and stories. He was a passionate supporter of the Fighting Hawks.
We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and co-workers. They are all in our thoughts and prayers.
A full obituary for Kevin is available on the Norman Funeral Home website.
