High blood pressure = “Silent Killer”  It rarely has warning signs or symptoms and many people do not realize they have it.  Going unnoticed for long periods of time can increase your risk of heart disease and stroke. Upcoming Events

Grab your coworkers and find something RED to wear on Friday, February 1st. The UND community is encouraged to show support for heart health in women by wearing red to work and taking a photo to submit online to Work Well. There are different categories and a chance to vote for your favorite!  More information here!

Join Work Well as we host a heart health presentation given by Dr. Joshua Wynne.  Dr. Wynne will kick off American Heart Month by sharing the determinants of heart disease and tips to reduce risk. Rock Wall Family Days:
UND Rock Wall will be open to the Campus Community and the Grand Cities Area for climbing with No Membership required!  Children of all ages (we have harnesses for toddlers/small children, fit is not guaranteed) will be able to visit and climb the Rock Wall.  Stop by and give the Rock Wall a try on Sunday, February 24th from 2:00 – 4:00 pm. Cost is $10/family.

The Outpost:
Are you interested in exercising outside or exploring the outdoors? Gear up for adventure at The Outpost!  The Wellness Center has their winter equipment rentals all ready to go!  Open to faculty, staff, students and the public, The Outpost can outfit you with winter gear for snowboarding, cross country skiing, snowshoes and even ice skates! Grand Forks USDA Human Nutrition Research Center
Participate in a research study!  USDA is looking for volunteers to participate in studies to improve their understanding of the health roles of food and physical activity.  Volunteers are essential partners in their research and are paid honoraria for their participation.
