In 1988, National Hispanic Heritage Month was enacted into law under President Ronald Reagan. September 15 – October 15 is an opportunity to celebrate the histories, cultures and contributions of American citizens whose ancestors came from Spain, Mexico, the Caribbean and Central and South America.
