Remembering Melodie Anne Pochmara

The University of North Dakota has learned that UND student Melodie Anne Pochmara passed away on March 31, 2023.

Melodie was working on her master’s degree in Elementary Education.

We extend our deepest condolences to Melodie’s friends, classmates and family, especially her husband and four children. They are all in our thoughts and prayers.

An obituary for Melodie is available on the Hanson-Runsvold Funeral Home website.

The loss of a member of our UND community affects us all, and we have a number of resources available to both our online and on-campus students, which we show below.

I hope everyone will take some time to remember Melodie and the impact she had on the lives of many.

UND President
