Remembering Iroba Daniel Okonta

The University of North Dakota has learned that UND student Iroba Daniel Okonta passed away on June 8, 2023.

Daniel was enrolled as an online student in the Mechanical Engineering program in the College of Engineering & Mines.

We extend our deepest condolences to Daniel’s wife and three sons as well as his family, friends and classmates. They are all in our thoughts and prayers.

The loss of a member of our UND community affects us all, and we have a number of resources available to both our online and on-campus students, which we show below.

I hope everyone will take some time to remember Daniel and the kindness he showed to others.
