Modern Campus (Omni), WordPress, and MailPoet Upgrades

UIT is transitioning Modern Campus (Omni), WordPress, and MailPoet from NDUS hosted servers to Cloud hosting environments to provide better performance, usability and enhanced security. There will be downtime that you must prepare for; otherwise, you should notice the minimal impact of this transition.

Modern Campus (OMNI) will be locked June 24-28: The website backend will be locked. No websites can be edited or published until the migration is complete.

WordPress and MailPoet will be locked June 27-28:  No blogs or e-newsletters can be edited, published, or sent until the migration is complete. UIT expects it will be done on June 28. Plan accordingly. If you require a message to be sent during this downtime, download your e-newsletter subscriber list(s) from MailPoet by midnight on June 26 and email the message.

 Archived blogs will transition to Special Collections: There are 27 old blogs archived on the system that are causing performance issues. Blog content will be retained in PDF format at the Chester Fritz Library Special Collections to meet North Dakota records retention standards.

WordPress will be down completely for a short time: The front end will be down for a half hour while network configurations occur.
