Fall 2025 Standardized Start Dates to Begin for Student Employment

To enhance our hiring process, standardized start dates for student hires will be implemented this fall.

This initiative aims to provide our student employees with an optimal onboarding experience as they begin their journey as valuable members of the UND community. Please read the following information carefully as it will affect your student hiring process.

Student start dates for the months of August & September will be standardized. Student employees will only be to start on Mondays. The student must accept their offer and complete their new hire form by the Wednesday preceding their Monday start date.

Student start dates for the months of August and September are listed below, consider your department’s current recruitment needs and processing timeline when selecting a start date.

If a candidate is not eligible to start on the proposed start date listed on the offer card due to the status not reflecting “Offer Accepted-Paperwork complete” by the required date, your candidate’s start will be updated to the next Monday start date.
